I have taught Anatomy and Physiology at the college level so I know the kind of questions that will be asked on exams and can teach you what to focus on. I can give you practice exams. I have tutored in Biology and focus on my student's needs. I got a 33 on the MCAT without studying much and I can teach you how to do that too.
I am focused on getting you to understand the material such that you can answer multiple choice questions easily. I focus on test prep. I like to use examples in real life to help you understand. If one example doesn't work, I use others. I prefer to use animations to get you to understand.

I have 5 nephews and a daughter of my own shop I'm great with children. I was an honors grad and I also became a certified nursing assistant before I even graduated high school. I'm great in public speaking and have had many speeches myself with an audience of over one hundred. I do know the main signs as well as the alphabet for sign language because I have a brother and sister whom are deaf. Also I have always been great in mathematics. My strongest suit in my teaching style is probably the many ways that I would approach teaching a certain principle. If the student does not understand one way to approach a problem, I try to best to help them understand and learn another way. I feel like since everyone learns differently, a tutor should approach a problem from as many angles as possible. My teaching style is also very patient. I suppose the saying "give a man a fish, feed him for a day, teach a man how to fish, feed him for a lifetime" would apply to my style. I try to make sure the student understands the principles behind the type of problem and not just how to do the one problem. That way, if they see another problem like the one they just learned, they can apply what the learned and do the second problem.

I use positive motivation with my students, explaining how subject matter being covered should relate to them and their future successes. I try to link the subjects with current events and how lack of knowledge on specific subjects can cost them either financially or impact their health and well being. For example, when I encounter a senior who is not participating in class, I give them an employment application to fill out, explaining if they have difficulty completing it, they better join the class.

I believe in critical thinking and relation between topics. I believe that individuals learn best by relating what they are learning to things they already know. Of course, every individual has their own learning styles so I also believe that the individual's learning style should be evaluated prior to the session beginning. Then, to use the tools that can best help that individual understand.
Prior to pursuing a career in the health field, I always wanted to teach. I began my journey tutoring children with in my religious community, and then worked as a junior assistant for Kumon. After I started college, most of my experience was with individual tutoring. I tutored in algebra, biology, calculus etc. I am a determined person in that education lights ones future, and if I am a way through which someone can pursue the best with help, I am ever present.
