My comments on tutoring Economics : Experience in both macro and micro economics.

I'm a junior at Mississippi College with a 3.60 GPA. I major in political science and minor in communications. i have interned at law offices and voluntarily taught civics to elementary students. I am the brother, nephew, and husband of teachers: all of my relatives have given me ample opportunity to be involved in traditional class rooms.
Perfect practice makes perfect. I like to have the student look, listen, then do and teach me; because when you can teach the subject you have truly mastered it.

Then, I establish a baseline of what they have learned so that I can direct my attention to their strengths and weaknesses. Finally, I get into the material with the student and show them how and why the material is important and applicable in the world in which we live.
I have served as a substitute teacher in Hayward, CA for 1 1/2 years. I worked as a tutor for Learning & Loving It in San Jose, CA for 3 years. I have earned both a degree in English and a master of business administration. I am currently a CPA examination candidate, and I have passed two sections of the exam. I enjoy helping others achieve their goals, and I have been active in tutoring fellow students in the past few years. Many students I have helped have vastly improved their test scores and understanding of the subject matter.
I teach others by first trying to understand the way that person learns best. If I find that one way does not work for that student, I will try a different approach. I have found that many students have an easier time grasping basic understanding by using real life examples to which they can relate. I have a passion for education. I desire to see others succeed holistically in their life not just academically. I have a degree in business with several years in management. I also am seeking my education certification through the alternate route process. I have 4 years of volunteer tutoring service working with K-5th grade in all subjects.
