I love to teach whether its for fun or helping.
I am attending school for early childhood degree. Working with children and others have always been apart of me. Throughout school I am always helping and tutoring someone. Teaching someone something that I already know and something they should know or what to know makes me happy. I substitute before and volunteer my time a lot with daycare, Boys and Girls Club, after school programs, and even at church. I love to grab up my neighbor children to see how they are doing in school and if they need help with some work that they may have not gotten an understanding from their teacher or their parents do not understand.

Helping others learn has always been a joy of mine. I have a BS degree in Elementary Education. I also hold a current Professional Teaching License. I am certified to teach kindergarten through eighth grade and highly qualified for kindergarten through sixth grade. I also have the experience of being a classroom teacher for three years.
I believe that a solid education is something every child should have. All children learn in their own way. I began my work, with youth, in 1983 when I worked with incarcerated youth at the Highland Youth Center in upstate NY. I later taught high school social studies at Mount Vernon, HS in Mount Vernon, NY where I also tutored after school. I eventually traveled to Benin, West Africa where I taught at a local British School and taught and tutored at the American Language Center. I have experience teaching diverse populations.
I love teaching and watching students learn and grow. I feel that tutoring gives, a teacher, an opportunity to give a child one-on-one attention, therefore, enhancing one's potential at learning.
