A Little Bit About Me...

I have attained a MS in Counseling and Psychology, and a BS in Psychology with a Math minor. Through my journey into higher education I have been fortunate enough to motivate myself and others to push through tough courses by establishing study groups. I have participated in these groups and have learned that additional study time spent with someone more familiar with a subject is the difference between passing a course the first time and dropping the course to repeat it later. Patience is very important when tutoring and I have demonstrated a calm attitude when tutoring students in algebra and statistics over the last four years. A Little Bit About Me...

I have over 25 years of experience as a high school and college English instructor. I have a bachelor degree in English education and a masters in liberal arts with 18 graduate hours in English. I began and operated my own private, fully accredited high school, test prep and tutoring companies.
I teach students from where they are! Sometimes there are gaps and holes in past learning that can be filled in before the student can soar. I am very personable, encouraging and understand how intimidating the blank page or the prospects of taking a standardized test can be.
