A Little Bit About Me...

During my studies at SUNY Buffalo I tutored in Regents Math which I also took when I was in high school. In Virginia Tech I was a Graduate Research Assistant. I ran Aerospace Engineering labs, assigning work to undergraduate students which I graded. I was available for multiple hours per week assisting students in their homework and lab reports. Since then I have been a math tutor in calculus. Engineering requires a solid understanding of math from the basics such as algebra and geometry to more difficult calculus and linear algebra. What I have learned in both mathematics and physics is used almost on a daily basis which is why I know the subjects so well.

A Little Bit About Me...

Over the course of my education, I have developed a strong understanding of math and science courses. In addition, I have a passion for the arts, psychology and management. Attending both a community college as well as a large 4-year institute has exposed me to a variety of teaching styles. Through this I have learned effective ways to explain and work through different learning styles.
I like to take the time to learn about the student themselves, and try to understand the problem specific to the individual. I think learning should be fun and approached in a way that puts little pressure on the student. A complete understanding requires an environment in which the student can personally relate to on an everyday basis.

I currently work as an Adjunct Professor of Mathematics at Jamestown Community College. I have completed both a B.S. and M.S.Ed in Mathematics Education from SUNY Fredonia. I have taught in school districts in both Cattaraugus and Chautauqua County. My experience includes teaching and tutoring students from 6th grade up to and including Sophomore college students.
