Shakespeare is one of my top subjects! My students benefit from live readings,dramatizations, audio and video presentations of the plays. They are guided in their research of Shakespeare's life,the Elizabethan stage, dramatic techniques and borrowings.An appreciation of the art of rhetoric and the effectiveness of various literary devices is taught. I encourage my students to see the characters as real people, and to respond to the critical issues raised in the plays. They are therefore encouraged to see life as a "stage".

I have over 30 years teaching experience in Communication Studies, English Language, English Literature and the Art of Public Speaking/Debating. For many years I have taught SAT, ACT,and SSAT to high school students and ESL to adult learners. Teaching has been conducted on a one-on-one, group and class setting. I have taught at high school, college and first year UWI levels, preparing students not only for standardized tests but also for a range of overseas examinations.
