I love teaching, period. I strive for clarity in my presentation. This has allowed me to explain very complex ideas to adults as well as very young children. The mark of a good teacher is comprehension. Never is there a place for anger or impatience in teaching! It is the duty of the instructor to demonstrate why the subject is important and interesting. Tutoring should be a tool used to complement traditional education. When tutoring there is little help in providing information to the student the same way that the teacher presents it. Tutors may also fall into the trap of simply giving the student the answers. For these reasons I prefer an holistic approach to tutoring. Every student is different and they all have different ways of understanding the material.
