A Little Bit About Me...

I am a hands on teacher. I can verbally explain things and then i like to utilize different techniques to ensure the children understand what i am explaning. I am opening to different teaching styles because each child learns differently.
I have currently worked at the Herkimer ARC for the past eight years. I have alot of experience working with people with disabilites from severe Mental Retardation, Cerebal Palsy,Autism, Learning Disability and Mental Heath. I have been a teacher for over six years. I have taught and/or tutored subjects ranging from elementary reading and math to high school math and science. I am permanently certified in New York State to teach Biology and general science. In addition, I am pursuing certificates in both physics and math.
I like to combine both direct instruction and hands-on activities when teaching.
