Teaching others cannot be defined by one style of teaching. The way to teach is by learning first how the student receives the information. Auditory learners and Visual learners require two different methods of teaching. The key is to make the information understandable to the student by breaking the information down in any format. I recently graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry Minor. During my junior and senior college years, I worked as a Undergraduate Teaching Intern for several undergraduate biology courses. My description of teaching involves directly explaining the material to the student and then have the student to teach me the subject or concept that was just learned. This insures that the student fully understands the concept, thus the concept can be applied to problem solving.
