I began my professional career in land surveying. After the birth of my two sons I revised my goals toward an educational experience at the elementary level. I completed my practicum in Elementary Education and performed a year of substitute teaching in both the elementary and middle school levels. I enjoy working with both children and adults. I would say that my teaching style involves having an inexhaustible supply of patience which allows me to identify a student's strengths and build on them. It also allows me to identify areas where assistance is required and encouraging growth in these areas. I am also very easygoing and I have a good sense of humor which helps at times to put people at ease.
