Over the course of my career, I have taught at just about every level, from middle school to graduate school. I initially started teaching computer applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. My area of study is really in history and social studies where I worked with students on improving their composition and essay writing skills as well as organization and study skills for adolescents and adults. Laid back, but encouraging.If a child is struggling, I don't think you should add fear and criticism to the situation. Having had Catholic nuns in all my grammer school days, pretty much put the "fear of God" into me, until I went on to public high school and college. then I was able to relax and embrace english and literature. My BA degree was in Speech & Theatre. Who would have known that a shy kid like me would have excelled in public speaking, english, and theatre.
