A Little Bit About Me...

I have worked with at-risk elementary students since 1993. I have taught Kindergarten and second grade for an inner city Catholic School, and fourth grade for West Carrollton City Schools. I also worked 8 years for a company that provided Title 1 services to non-public schools in the city of Dayton. I have worked for West Carrollton City Schools since 2006, the last six years as an Intervention Specialist for 4th grade IEP students and students in the RTI process.
My teaching style is very individualized with an emphasis on the strengths of the student. I feel it is important to build a positive relationship with the student centered on success and trust. I believe in setting realistic goals with children and developing and working toward the goal.

In my time as a student, I have experienced both extremely poor teaching styles and teaching styles that caused the learning process to be a literal joy to undertake.
