I love science and love to teach! I believe that teaching is an intentional effort. It’s not just about presenting information, but also about motivating. I set high standards, but also emphasize that science can be fun. As a tutor, I will provide a positive environment that focuses on what can be done, not on what can’t. I graduated from Morehead State University with a BS in Chemistry and a Geology minor in 1996. I used this degree to obtain work in my field, and outside of my field for the past 14 years. I have strong, hands-on experience with Chemistry principles and have experienced them on a daily basis for over 5 years. I also have experience working in a customer support role and have been responsible for helping people of all ages and backgrounds solve problems in a quick, and effective manor. A Little Bit About Me...

I always wanted to become a math teacher, but in order to become one in a communist regime; you had to be a member in the Romanian Communist Party. So, I obtained a BS in Mechanical Engineer (172 credit hours). I was working as a designer in Romania and had in parallel a private math and physics tutoring business. At NEIU I finished a lot of credits hours toward my second BA in Secondary Education Mathematics. Meanwhile, I found a job as a Mechanical Engineer at Mercury Products. Three years ago I have relocated with my husband's company in Dayton, Ohio. Meanwhile, I found an Estimator job at PTC and I was laid off due to the economy. A Little Bit About Me...

I love teaching and working with others, especially children. I first like to start with finding out where the child is confused by going over and re-teaching past assignments that were misunderstood. I like to go over past tests and make sure they understand what they missed and teach them the correct answer. I believe that this is very important so they can grasp future material. I will then try many different teaching styles to either find what works best for the particular child or to keep things interesting and keep the child wanting to learn. Nothing is too hard for any child it is just how the material is presented and the fact that someone is taking one on one time with your child to make sure they understand before moving to the next topic.
