I am a recently retired teacher. I have taught at all levels preK through high school and with diverse populations, including overseas. My areas of specialty are Spanish and Art, and areas of strength include English, Reading, Social Studies and Geography. My knowledge of child development and behavior management is superb. As a graduate from UW- Madison in Elementary Education, I am passionate about teaching, learning, and the pursuit of excellence. I earned a 3.8 GPA from UW-Madison and gained great experience working with students of all ages and abilities. For example, I completed an internship at the Dane County Juvenile Detention Center where I provided tutoring and mentorship for a range of highly troubled students of various abilities, ages, ethnic backgrounds, languages, etc. I have spent the last academic year substitute teaching all ages and grade levels.

I am a graduate of Brigham Young University with a BA in English. Psychology and child development were part of my curriculum. When our children were all in school, I started substitute teaching K-12. I especially enjoyed working with K-5. I have worked as a substitute, permanent substitute and teaching assistant for about 13 years in the Concord School District (NH) and the Provo School District (UT). Some assignments were a few months long while teachers were recovering from surgery or illness. I had the opportunity to attend seminars on "Autism" and "Image Writing".
