I have a bachelor degrees in elementary education and a master in special education, which allows me the ability to with students struggling in the areas of reading and math. I am able to collect data and progress monitor progress. I have learned to build on students learning styles and to promote differential learning. During the last three years I have worked one on one with students to increase their functional reading and math skills.
I enjoy working with struggling learners. I believe that using brain research and knowing learning styles enables me to support students in differential instructions. I believe that not all students are alike and and instruction should not be one size fits all. I want to make students life long learners and build a strong foundation from learning.

As a graduate from one of the top Liberal Arts programs in the country, I have a well-rounded education founded in the comprehensive tools of thought - logic, reason, and an understanding of first principles. I have discovered that this education enables me to learn new skills with a ease and thoroughness; in addition, it enables me to teach others by helping them learn the first principles of the knowledge in their subject, which is a learning by induction, in addition to deduction. I have taught for one year in the following subjects: English, Latin & Art History (10th grade), History, Reading and Writing (4th grade). In addition, I have taught independent Latin courses for beginners and tutored in Latin, Reading and Creative Writing.
