As a graduate from UNC Charlotte, I was blessed with the opportunity to earn a B.A. in English, as well as a professional certification in techncial writing and editing, which has afforded me both knowledge and experience in both journalism and technical media. In my experiences I have found that children learn in many different ways. Based on this I feel that individualized attention to each student makes them more successful in school, as well as, in many life experiences. Children learn by doing. With this in mind I find the best teaching style for each child. I enjoy using songs to enforce concepts in all subjects. I also enjoy having students discover and comprehend concepts on their own. I was a peer tutor in high school for English and Spanish. I also tutored children in Hebrew at a local temple. In addition, I volunteered as a tutor for underprivileged children in Chicago in all areas: Spelling, Reading, Writing, Math, Language, etc. for grades K-8.
I love to work with children of all ages and genders. I have worked with children who have learning disabilities, physical disabilities as well as children of all ages, races, and genders. I attempt to make learning as fun and relevant to the child as possible as every child has varying levels of understanding and concentrations. I am extremely patient and can handle anything. A Little Bit About Me...

Teaching has been my life. All children learn in different ways and there are many ways of teaching the same concept to get the student to understand. I am friendly, respectful, honest, efficient and determined. I believe that students that are given information that is not always done in the same way in a classroom gives them an advantage. There is not always time to be one-on-one and given strategies that are much simpler to understand and put into writing and realize that it is not a job to write; it can be challenging in a fun manner.
