I am a very avid learner and have earned two degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill: a BA in psychology and a JD. I taught science classes to children ages 4 - 12 during my law school career. I tutored elementary school students in basic math, grammar and science during my last two years of undergraduate work. During my first two years of undergraduate studies, I tutored college students in math and English

I have a laid back teaching style, within the next year I plan to get my MAT so I can teach in NC. I believe that this will help me reinforce some of my teaching skills that I will use from everyday basis.
As a history major at Western I had to read many books and an accelerated rate. Also being an English minor I gained analytical and grammatical skills to help better understand pieces of literature I had to read and I can pass those skills to other students.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am a recent graduate of Mars Hill College. I have my teaching license and specialize in grades 6-9. I completed my student teaching in Language Arts grade 7. At Mars Hill, I was a member of the Historical Honor Society and took part in tutoring students through this program during my Junior and Senior years at college. I also led many study groups for the Mathematics classes that I attended.
