I am a student enrolled in Wayne State University in the undergraduate program for English. I have studied English for over five years which includes reading comprehension, language, creative writing, and academic prep. I have taken SAT, ACT, and the Advanced Placement exam I will be able to assist anyone who is going to take these exams or planning on taking them. My comments on tutoring Reading : In addition to having been a state-certified English teacher for 18 years, I tutored my way through college and beyond another 6 years.

I am a certified teacher of French and English; I have taught both subjects at the middle and high school levels for 18 years. In addition, I have 6 years of tutoring experience before becoming a teacher. I have worked with students of all ages, elementary through college. I am one course shy of my Masters' in French. I have worked with inner-city middle school students for more than 10 years, through a program called "Math Corps." (Google it.)
My teaching style...? I do not have only one; part of the point of tutoring is the ability to truly tailor styles/strategies to individuals or small groups. I must say that I am the funniest person I know, and I crack myself up all the time. Humor is always one of my favorite/best strategies.
