Mike's Guitar Studio is based on the belief that the students needs are of the utmost importance. The Studio is committed to meeting those needs. As a result, a high percentage of our business is from repeat customers and referrals. Lessons are catered towards what the student wants to learn. There is no one method that works for each student. Each student has different ways of learning, we recognize this and apply it to our teaching policy. The primary instructor/ owner, Mike Benninger, has a B.M. in music performance from Keene State College and a M.M. in music performance from the Yale School of Music. Mike's Guitar Studio is located in New Windsor in Mike's Home Recording/Music studio. Recording can be an added tool for recording lessons, songs, pieces, and ideas.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have taught violin lessons to students of all ages and levels for 20 + years. Letters of reference are available upon request. I am also a graduate of the Manhattan School of Music and have been critically acclaimed as a Violin Solo Recitalist in New York State. As a professional violinist I have performed at Broadway shows, for free lance professional orchestras and more in the NY area and currently I manage and perform with an ensemble called "The Capricccio Ensemble" for small concerts, weddings, and private functions. Since the age of 13 I have been playing bass. Since 1993 I've been a self employed bassist, audio engineer, producer and programmer. In addition to performing, I have extensive experience with computer audio/music recording and production. In that time, I have toured the world playing in several different musical styles.
