My comments on tutoring Pre-Algebra : For young students learning advanced math for the first time, pre-algebra is something of a shock to the system. Its study is somewhat akin to jumping into a swimming pool without first testing the waters, and discovering it to be as cold as ice! At least, this was my experience when I first studied pre-algebra.
Still, the excitement that comes from undertaking those first big steps into the field of mathematics is palpable. When studying pre-algebra, sometimes the hardest part is relaxing your mind and learning the new principals.
I was fortunate enough that I had a tutor to help me in the process! I appreciate the chance to return the favor.
Greetings one and all!
My name is Tristan, and I am a recent graduate of the University of Florida's College of Engineering as of August 2012. I graduated with a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Nuclear Engineering and a cumulative GPA of 3.25 (and I will tell you that I earned every point of it).
I am looking forward to using my knowledge and proficiency in various fields of math and science to make your four year slog through the rigors of academia as palpable as possible. I offer flexible hours, friendly demeanor, and a patient approach to tutoring that caters to your individual skill set. In short: I work with you, for you, and on your terms!
