I can relate best with the student/youth.

I attended Rufus King World IB High school in Milwaukee, Wi, one of the most prestigious inner city high schools in the country. I excelled in IB Geography, Chorus, and Theatre. I was one of those kids who never did any homework, but passed my tests. Everyone came to me for help on projects, homework, ect. I feel that I didn't fully utilize my strengths in school as I could have, so I would love to share that with those who need it now.
Very relaxed, easy going, friendly. I feel less pressure and non stressful settings help students learn better. They can relate to a younger person who is more in tune with youth and someone who understands them.

I have been teaching computers for over 14 years. Subject that I am able to teach: Any level of Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, Visio, Project). I am also able to teach any version from 2000-2010. I have also taught QuickBooks, and Quicken for many years. I also know GroupWise, and many other email systems. I have also taught in medical field for EMR systems such as Allscripts, McKesson. I also have a strong knowledge in SQL and Crystal Reports. I also have written courseware for customized classes.

A Little Bit About Me...

While working on my undergrad I was given the opportunity to be a teaching assistant for a freshman college level film theory and design class. During this opportunity I was responsible for grading the daily work of our students, as well as being a resource for the students design projects. I taught lectures based on film theory and design, as well as specific pieces of film.
I myself am a visual and auditory learner, so I am very open to all types of teaching styles. I find that people learn better when several avenues of learning are available for a subject. Also repetition is a very important device for making knowledge permanent. I like to bring a fun and light atmosphere to learning.

I love working with and teaching children of all ages. I believe that each child is unique and is capable of learning in his or her own unique way. As a teacher I do my best to discover how each child learns, and tailor my lessons to fit them so that the student gets the maximum amount of learning out of the lesson. I have always thought of myself as a progressive teacher. I always thought children could learn to do anything they were asked to do. I always loved learning and felt it was my obligation to instill the same in all my students, no matter what age.
