As a late bloomer to my education, I understand the importance of completeing an education at the earliest time. I currently hold a BS degree in business with an emphasis on international markets. This degree has helped me to better understand and appreciate economics, business math and accounting. In pusuit of this I have written papers from a 2 page summary to an 80 page thesis. In the past years I have tutored in Spanish 101 and 102 on the college level, accounting, English Comp, Art Appreciation, Shakespeare, and Adult Basic Education for GED students.

My life has been filled with teaching and working with children. At the age of ninteen as a very young mother I felt a sense of duty in teaching my children how to achive higher than they can ever have imagined. I love to see the look of awe on their faces when they realize that they to can understand which ever subject that slips them. The rest is simple practice, practice, practice seals the deal. Then stride to the next hurdle. Each child has a different way of learning things. I find many times that a child can have to much or to little of something in their lives which interrupts their natural thought pattern. My teaching style is one that I obtained from two of my favorite college teachers whom I wished all others would duplicate themselves after. When I teach, I introduce myself and let others introduce themselves. I project an image of someone who is willing and able to assist and teach...someone who really does care (of which I have been told many times by former students). I let students know that if they have a question about anything, to please ask me. I am a detailed person and so I like to give detailed steps in achieving a desired outcome.
