A Little Bit About Me...

I received my BA degree in Ecology/ Evolution from the University of Utah. Many years later after serving in the military and starting a family, I went back to school to receive a teaching certificate in the state of NC, after moving to Arkansas with my family, I converted it to an Arkansas license. In 2009, I returned to school again to fulfill a dream of completing a Master's degree. I have been working as a substitute teacher for 5 years and I have been tutoring for 2 years. I would love to assist you in your educational or musical pursuits. I have been playing the violin for 30+ years, both in church and in concert as well as in my own home for my own enjoyment.

I studied many different theories of learning while in psychology and fundamentally understand what it means to be a teacher. Coming from a smaller school, I understand the importance of one on one communication and teaching. I received my BS degree in 2007 in pre-medicine. I majored in pre-professional zoology and I have a minor in biochemistry. I also worked at the Talent Development Center as a tutor for biology, botany, chemistry and biochemistry. I have a strong background in all science courses and maintained a 3.87 GPA throughout college.
I have been involved in a lot of activities and feel the best way to teach is to relate to the student.
