A Little Bit About Me...

I am very excited about teaching. I beleive that it is my time to give back and hopefully encourage someone that is ready to give up. I believe all children can learn and each has a different technique to register the information. My goal is to provide the best education and listen to the child.
Since I was a teen I have always wanted to be a teacher. I am presently enroll at Converse College in the Master Program. I am very driven to become a certified teacher. On June 12, I will be taken the teacher certification exam. I have earned a Bachelors in Business, an Associate in Arts and a Diploma in Computer Operations. These degrees have provided me many opporunities for advancement with previous employees. Recently, the company I was working for closed, this has allowed me to persue my life long dream. I have been substitute teaching and I love it.

I have been interested in tutoring and mentoring elementary students since I was a senior in high school. My college experience includes coaching junior high kids, tutoring 1st through 8th grade students in math and reading, and observing veteran teachers. My years at Michigan State University taught me a lot about planning and curriculum, as well as the importance of hard work. Michigan State required every student to complete a year of student teaching.
