I like to create a meeting day before the tutoring begins. That meeting day consist of me seeing where the student I am tutoring is at. After seeing the subject that student is struggling with, I create weekly packets for the days I do tutor the student. That packet will be practice for the student to do infant of me as an "exam". I used to hate having teachers that didn't break everything down so I was able to understand it. I tutor people by breaking the subject down and making sure they can understand the basics.
