A Little Bit About Me...

My tutoring is guided by instructional strategies that help learners make meaning. I ask learners questions frequently to determine what they understand. I adjust my tutoring techniques based on learners' behaviors.
I attended a small town highschool, but excelled above most of my peers there. I was on the Honor Roll, i can honestly never remember getting any grade lover than a high B, but once. And that was in Spanish, which I do not tutor in, haha. I believe my strong point would be English. Not only am I good at it, I ENJOY it. I am also very distinguised with computer programs, mostly Microsoft programs.

I try my best to adjust my teaching style to meet every individual's needs. I know that every person not only is taught differently, but also learns and understands differently as well.
I am graduating with my Bachelor's degree in Sociology at Tennessee Technological University of Cookeville, TN. I transferred from a 2 year community college in Harriman, TN known as Roane State Community College. Before starting college, I graduated from Rockwood High School in Rockwood, TN, where I never made lower than a B or a high C in some of my harder classes. I started taking college classes in my Senior year of high school and I was always in the advanced Math classes up until that point. I love teaching and enjoy working with people of all ages. I am available to teach the following subjects: math, science, ancient history, paleontology, archaeology, writing, mythology, reading music, musical instruments/basic beginner classes (guitar, violin, mandolin, banjo, dulcimer), Visual arts (drawing, painting, sculpture, graphic arts, fashion design), gardening, herbs, horseback riding, and more. I am a firm believer in teaching by allowing the student to be more interactive - more hands on.
