A Little Bit About Me...

I have obtained a bachelor degree in biopsychology from GVSU, which required me to learn many levels of science and math as well as anatomy and physiology. I have a deep understanding and appreciation for this field of study and have produced many reports and essays in the aforementioned fields. I have tutored many students in math, psychology and the social sciences already. I have always excelled in English and grammar skills also. I have held a job teaching the mentally and physically handicapped skills of daily living. I also have a certain skill for understanding speech impairments. After graduating with a mathematics undergraduate degree in 1998, I have continued to study all areas of mathematics for the last 12 years. I have passed numerous actuarial exams that cover advanced mathematic topics as well as becoming a charterholder in the CFA Institute in 2009. I would love the opportunity to pass on my enjoyment of mathematics to others. I tutored extensively during my college years and feel I have a lot to offer the students of today.
I enjoy teaching and working with all children. I grew up as a teacher's son and now I am a teacher's husband so I have experience exploring different methods to help children learn. I believe I can pass on my education and experience to students and give them real world applications of the material they are studying. I also like have fun so my students should expect to have fun as well.
