A Little Bit About Me...

I received my BS in Mathematics and my MS in Industrial Mathematics from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology. During my time as a graduate student, I was a teacher of College Algebra, Trigonometry, and of Calculus. I also tutored nearly every undergraduate mathematics course offered at NMT, including calculus, vector analysis, linear algebra, differential equations, probability and statistics, etc. I also took many Physics courses and have a very solid fundamental understanding of Newtonian mechanics. I am a capable computer programmer. I have a basic understanding of Chemistry. I have always had a passion for science and technology, as well as a deep fascination for mathematics.

The greatest day of my life was achieving my Bachelors degree in Biological Chemistry from the University of Texas at Arlington. It was an overwhelming sense of gratification to know the many years of hard work, determination and persists paid off. The following are the experiences I had in tutoring students. I tutored chemistry for two years, and really found that I loved helping people achieve their goals. Through experience I have learned that not everyone learns a certain way and by observing each student I’m able to understand what might work best for them. This last year and a half I was a teacher at Carlos Vigil Middle School. I instructed a computer based program for at-risk students to earn credits to graduate from high school. Over the last several years I have been involved with several business and working extensively with the Native American pueblo communities. In December 2009, I graduated cum laude from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh with a BBA in Economics. While in school, I worked as a Supplemental Instructor for an introduction to business course, formulating and providing lessons to a group of undergraduate students.
