Since most accounting books involve a step-by-step approach, I would have to evaluate the student to see what appears to be the problem area in order to get a good solid foundation before continuing into the more difficult areas of accounting. A good mix of theory and problem solving is required for each student on an individual basis. Even though my students were in a vocational school many of them would continue on to college after completing my accounting course.
From 2000-2004 I taught manual and computerized accounting at Kaplan voacational schools in South Texas.Apart form teaching students during the week, I would also hold tutoring sessions on Saturdays for any student who was having difficulty keeping up or had been ill. I have earned a bachelor of science degree in General Science, which means I have a very good understanding of many topics including: Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Physics, Computers, and Arts. I have experience in being a leader of 10-16 people in the military as an officer. I enjoyed teaching people of their oppurtunities in furthering their education. During late nights I tutored friends in Calculus and Biology.
