A Little Bit About Me...

I believe in helping people that need help. So in college I began tutoring and started to do a bunch of community service projects. I have two years in tutoring experience. I tutor subjects such as algebra, pre-cal, biology, microbiology, world religion, psychology and the list continues. My comments on tutoring Typing Skills : Last I checked, my typing speed was 65 wpm. Simple games and constant practice/interaction in a world of digital communication are what it takes to get the words out of your head and into a keyboard. Almost all my tutoring help requires that the student be able to write on a keyboard, and I am always glad to help improve typing skills.

I'm a recent college graduate from NC State, with a degree in Creative Writing. However, the CW course instilled in me knowledge in a variety of fields from film to philosophy, and as a requirement of modern education made me more than just fluent in the language of computers. I'm a would-be author, and a writer of short stories, and have won an honorable mention in a few poetry contests. In college I was frequently asked by friends in less liberal majors for help in writing papers and getting ideas across, because while a Biology major dreads the 25 page research paper, the English major just shrugs and says "I just wrote like, three of those yesterday." I have seven years of teaching experience, five of those in Texas and two in South Carolina. I also have three years of substitute teaching experience.
