Spanish is one of my top subjects!

The languages I listed are simply the the ones I use more often, but are not limited to those I am able to speak and/or teach. Of the three I use Spanish the most (as I use it everyday at work and home). My knowledge and abilities on the languages I speak is not limited to basic textbook understanding. I include all aspects, such as: textbook; common phrases/conversation; and slang. I have been involved with numerous volunteer projects in which I translated and/or taught for different languages and communities. I also have many close friends who's native tongues are of the ones I've listed. I even help teach them and/or their children English.

I have tutored my little cousins with their homework before & also in summer camp activities with kids in general! I love to help out with anything I have knowledge in. I am a god writer who loves to write and also working on a novel currently. My strongest points are composition and I am very wordy when it comes to writing. I love to read in my spare time and my favorite subject is English still. I do know some Spanish as well. My comments on tutoring Spanish : I also travel to Mexico several times per year to keep up with my proficiency!!

I taught Spanish for 30 years, most of which were at White Station High School. After retiring from Memphis City Schools, I taught Spanish for State Tech (now Southwestern), FedEx Trade Networks, and Regions Bank. Also, I tutor Spanish for students at MUS and St. Mary's. I have gotten a lot of positive feedback from all of my participants!
I love one-on-one tutoring for students and adults! I find that I have the full attention of that person so that we can make a lot of progress during each session!

I have been speaking Spanish for at least 9 years. Both of my children are Hispanic as well as my husband. I have a God given gift for languages.I took three years of Spanish in high school. I worked as a waitress at Saigon Le all through high school. That is where I began to utilize my gift of "gab".I speak a little Vietnamese also. My comments on tutoring Spanish : I took Honors Spanish courses throughout high school and excelled in each of them. I obtained my Bachelor's degree from Christian Brothers University, having Spanish as my minor.

My teaching style is dependent upon the student's learning ability. Typically I am a hands on teacher and enjoy using as many visuals as possible.

I have been tutoring and teaching for many years now. I started out on a small-scale in high school, without any experience, doing community service hours tutoring children at the TN Baptist Home. While I was studying for my undergraduate degree, I did scholarship hours doing private tutoring in English for International Students. I had so much fun I decided to get my Master's in English so that I could become a teacher. While in graduate school I came to know a local community center where I have been teaching now for quite a few years.
