Calculus I is one of my top subjects!

I am a senior mathematics education major at Bradley University. I have been tutoring both high school and college students for 6 years, and have had high successes in each level of math for many different students and learning abilities. As an analytical chemist, I have been exposed to teaching and learning chemistry in both the research area and in the teaching section. As a graduate student I taught general chemistry at undergraduate levels in both the laboratory and the lecture rooms. I taught one semester of College Algebra at Illinois State University. I was responsible for 2 sections of lab while I completed graduate credits for a Master's in Mathematics. My B.S. in actuarial science (math) was attained from Bradley University. Also, I've been a youth minister at the local church for a year and half now and have formed a large group consisting of junior high and high school students.

My teaching style is very similar to how I was taught, lots of examples with guidance. I was never given the answer, but given all the tools to necessary to complete the task. In most math courses, the problems themselves are not what you have to worry about, but the clock is the real problem. Therefore, lots of example and building confidence from those examples would be my ideal teaching style.
While earning my degrees, I was inducted into a honor society with emphasis on helping the engineering students in our department in several way.
