As a young college student I understand that my experience doesn't compare to those with degrees and much time doing it. But I know that being an older sister to younger brothers and sisters while helping them with homework and watching them grow up is a type of tutoring. I have been there for all my brothers milestones, when he learned how to walk, learned to talk, and started to learn to read. I am very proud to say that I have been there every step of the way. A Little Bit About Me...

I have two degrees, one in public school music from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN. The other is listed as a credential. I did not teach music. I did work for 7 years in public accounting, and am a CPA. I have 15+ years experience in Financial planning/investment management. Those years include 8 years with trust organizations inside banks, and 7+ years in national sales. I also spent time as CFO of a local company. I have led many sales presentations and training sessions in each of those occupations, and have always been able to explain things easily and understandably.
I believe that students need to be guided through the learning process to lead them to discovery of concepts themselves as much as teachers just spewing what they know. I also understand that there are many different learning styles, and as a tutor one of our jobs is to understand how our students learn best.
