I enjoy working with students of all ages, but I especially like middle school ages. All students learn in different ways, and I have used many techniques with public school students as well as with my own children. I believe everyone needs to have the skills to research and test out their ideas.
I taught learning disabled/emotionally handicapped middle school students for 7 years. I have about 3 years experience tutoring students of all ages. Currently I am employed as a home-based Family Specialist in Social Work. I teach parenting to persons in their homes. As I teach adults new parenting methods, I also teach children how to respond more appropriately to their parents, thus creating a win/win situation. By earning a Bachelor of Science in Social Work and a Master of Science in Management, I have learned skills that are necessary in both the personal and work world.
