I have been an elementary teacher for more than 25 years; 10 of those years I taught gifted children. My teaching specialties include grant writing with children, community problem solving and story telling using dance. I also have my English as a Second Language (ESL) endorsement. In addition to spending more than a decade as a gifted and talented instructor, my other professional experiences include working with multi-age, special-needs and at-risk populations. As a recent college graduate with my BA in elementary education I am highly motivated to provide learner centered tools to engage and motivate students. I have been able to incorporate these principles into my own classroom as a long term substitute in a 6th grade Language Arts and History class.
