Japanese is one of my top subjects! I am a native Japanese speaker.

Flexible. I am currently using Genki textbooks for beginners and Tobira textbooks for intermediate level. I use zoom or skype to meet online. I also use the google drive and the google document for sharing information and files with students.
I have experience teaching Japanese to non-native speakers from a variety of backgrounds including ages, native languages, as well as proficiency levels. I have tutored people aged from 5 to 60 years old. I enjoyed working with all of my students. I really enjoy sharing my language and culture with other people and I am so happy when I meet people who are interested in my culture and language. I have M.Ed. in Special Education and I have learned different teaching strategies so I will do my best to give you a lesson that suits your learning style! I graduated from Georgetown University in '05 with a BA in Chinese. I won the Chinese Award, spent a semester at Peking University, and received a 7 on the HSK Chinese Proficiency Test. I grew up speaking Japanese. I took a few courses while at GU, spent a semester at Sophia University, and passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test Level One. I always did fine in my English courses and can help in that regard too. Up until college I was always a math/science guy, and while my calculus and statistics are rusty, I am confident in my ability to tutor up to and including algebra. I was a paid tutor briefly in high school, but besides that have often helped classmates who needed help with this or that subject.
