Then I try to prepare a personalized strategy for each student based on his/her grasping ability. This usually involves teaching those topics again, giving home assignments to students, periodically conducting unit tests and assessing them. If a child feels as though they are in an atmosphere where they are safe, free of ridicule and bias, then they are willing to perform. This process can be a give take scenario however.
