Every child has a different learning style and it's the duty of the teacher to discover that way and pursue the methods that will help that child. Encouragement is the best teacher and confidence is the foundation of success. I know what helped me succeed as a young student and I believe I can provide that for students on a one on one basis. As a graduate and undergraduate student I taught multiple courses in both landscape design and architectural construction. As a Mormon/LDS missionary I attended the LDS Mission Training Center and then spent 2 years in the Tokyo area. I studied and spoke Japanese daily. I taught a message in Japanese daily. Also I spoke to congregations in Japanese regularly. Following that time, 2004-2006, I studied at BYU (acclaimed for its language success). Here I have earned 20 credit hours of Japanese with an A- average. I am not fluent but I am very good.

I have served as a Writing Tutor with UVU for five years now, tutoring in all genres. In April I will graduate with my BS in English and Creative Writing. I worked as a tutor of writing at Austin Community College in TX from 1/07-12/07.
