All through school I have had a passion for learning. This passion continued into college where I earned two degrees from Columbia College. While earning two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Dance and Religion, I have gained knowledge in critical thinking through applying learning to life, English and grammar through writing papers and reports, and many daily skills acquired through general education courses. Since I began tutoring my senior year of high school I have tutored students in special education, daily skills subjects, elementary math, high school math, and dance as well as teaching English, math, and Bible to students in Kenya, Africa.

I have been working with students of varying socioeconomic backgrounds as a teacher. I have not only earned my Bachelor's Degree in English, I also have a Master's in Education. I love helping students succeed! I have taught students in all elementary subjects.
I am a calm teacher who believes all students can become successful if given the individual time and attention that is needed. My goal is to help the student by modeling and then using encouragement and self-esteem building so that the student will become more confident. All children can learn and be successful when given instructional guidance that is geared toward the individual and encouragement to try their best.
