Piano is one of my top subjects! I have played the piano for over two decades. I have extensive training and my primary musical instrument while earning my music degree was the piano. I have played for various competitions, recitals, weddings, anniversaries, funerals and other occasions. I taught the piano at various musical studios, churches, music stores and at student's homes.

I use a combination of both online games and Websites and hands-on manipulatives. First, I like for the student to take multiple intelligence tests and then I know how best to help the student. The information I gain from the analysis is extremely informative. It tells me where the students' strengths lie such as some students are musically inclined, some are visual learners, auditory learners, some are mathematicians and various other styles. Then, the style that they learn through the best is how I would teach the student; this is based on Gardner's Multiple Intelligence. Second, meeting the standards are essential in today's education system. The four C's of the 21st century is also necessary for students' to learn. I believe that students can educate teachers just as well as teachers can educate students. I try to remain on-the-level with students in order to make them comfortable. I am very animated; yet, at the same time, I know how to get my information across. I try to be a fun and creative person, and I strive to get that across to students.

It is very important to let children know that there is no wrong or right way of doing their work, as long as it is done correctly. They also need to know that their methods are their own. Children needs reassurance. When A childs' work is not done to one's full potential, it is not my strategy to make them feel like less of a child. It is however, my strategy to work with that child until he/she understands WHY the work was not done correctly, and then let him/her correct the work themself. This in my opinion, lets a child know that we believe in him/her. That is the most important lesson a child can learn. That they are their own person and that they all have the potential to achieve the goals set for them.
