I started out tutoring elementary students in basic math and English grammar while I attended college part time in the 1980's. I continued tutoring young students and adults in the 1990's, tutoring Basic Math, Basic and Intermediate Algebra, Basic Geometry, English Composition, Speech, Study Skills and the Sciences. I have just about ten years teaching grades pre-k through eight grade. I took the requirements to obtain a teaching minor and certification, except the student teaching and the test because I decided to switch gears and go to law school. I am experienced in both the Michigan Grade Level Expectations as well as the Michigan's Adaptation of the Common Core Curriculum. I have taught students who are both intellectually advanced as well as those who experience challenges with learning and have had great success with both.
