A constructivism approach to learning is very important to me as opposed to the behavioralist approach that has dominated education. I strive to actively engage students in their own education. I found the ability to help others succeed very rewarding, and began tutoring fellow classmates in courses including but not limited to English, math, biology, and chemistry. These sometimes difficult subject always made sense to me and I enjoyed watching as the students I tutored were successful. I have in that time earned a BS in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Florida State University.
