Reading Comprehension Tutor Seeks New Learners!

I believe in working closely with parents,guardians and students. I meet the student where there are and assist and support them in understanding the subject. Reading Comprehension is a new skill of mine and I have two years of experience in the field. I also am very familiar with the Commom Core Objectives in the NC Schools and believe that they assist a student in understanding subjects better.
I have over thirty years of experience in the field of both Elementary and Secondary Education. I have taught in several Elementary and Secondary schools and also as a Public Historical Interpreter in a major museum here in North Carolina. I am also National Board Certified in area of Middle Childhood Generalist. I am certified 6-9 and 9-12 English. I have taught 4th grade for 2 years, 5th grade for 5 years, 6th grade for 1 year, 7th and 8th grades for 3 years, 9 and 10th grades for 1 year and 11 and 12th grades for 2 years.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have 35 years experience in Bell System Management retiring as Operations Manager of Outstate Georgia. Most of this time was used managing, mentoring and teaching others in day to day operations and in class room settings. My strong suits are English, business letter writing, Political Science, Economics and basic Accounting. My major at UNC Chapel Hill was Economics within an overall degree of Business Administration. I have taught personnel sensitivity type management courses to all BellSouth HeadQuarters Employees in Atlanta through the years.
