As an Ivy league graduate, I was driven to acheive a high level of excellence in education. I have earned a bachelor degree in education and masters degree in education with a major in mathematics. I have also worked in the business field and am able to teach students today how to apply mathematics in the real world. Recently I have been teaching as a substitute teacher in 3 counties and I have been doing alot of tutoring as well.
I am certified to teach secondary mathematics and social studies by the state of OHIO. I also enjoy teaching college students and tutoring on a weekly basis. While attaining my genetics degree at Ohio State, I worked at the OSU Chimpanzee Center. After graduating, I started working for the Department of Agriculture in the Weights and Measures division. It was my job to try to "trick" the scales before they could become available for commercial use. I moved back home to Coshocton when I got married. I quickly found a job teaching adults within our county's GED program. I easily became the math and science "guru" with my background and began getting my Masters in Education from Muskingum University. There is nothing like seeing a child grasp a new concept, or watching their eyes light up as something which seemed boring or unimportant becomes exciting and relevant!
