I implement creativity, and ample amount of positive, fun energy into the way I teach. I believe the key to any child's learning is first instilling confidence into them. When a kid learns confidence, they begin to have the fuel needed to learn. I graduated Cum Laude and was one of five Women's Studies students in my class to be given an award of Academic Excellence. I earned two bachelors in English and Women's Studies and consider myself very well versed in both areas. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style would be best described as creative and improvisational. Because I work with students from such varied backgrounds, I believe that the best method is one that allows for flexibility and at the same time incorporates lessons from several fields at once. For example, in both my GED and ESOL courses I incorporate music into my lesson plans. I find that music is an excellent avenue to explore contemporary topics that can then lead to essay topics. At the same time, song lyrics are poetry and can be studied as such.
