Education is a key to a high quality of life. I have earned a BS in Chemical Engineering (math, science, chemistry) and a BA in Ministry and Leadership (Bible, management, essay writing). In addition, I lack 3 hours from completing a Master's Degree in Education. My tutoring experience has primarily been with students working to earn their GED. A Little Bit About Me...

I have held informal teaching positions throughout my entire life. I have tutored everything from pre-algebra to Calculus to Piano. I'm currently employed as an after school tutor for middle school students, 6th grade to 8th, and independently tutor on Saturdays.
My style is relaxed and informal, but effective. School already provides enough structure, and with a relaxed mind, information can be processed more easily. 1 hour sessions multiple times a week is the best way for the information to sink in.

A Little Bit About Me...

In conclusion, I think that I can still be successful in teaching. I however, need to find what area that I can be most successful at. I think that with my non-traditional training and experience, that a similar position would give me the opportunity to be most successful. One thing that I have thought a great deal about these past few weeks, is that I am entering middle age and must be a success at something. In the past, I have found the most enjoyment and fulfillment working with special needs and incarcerated students.
