Believe in yourself, and you are half-way there!

My teaching style depends on the student. I am comfortable with trying different study methods in order to figure out why my student is having trouble with a particular subject.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. I love being able to help students feel comfortable with the material they are studying. I have tutored numerous times throughout college, and would like to get back into tutoring students because I find it to be rewarding. As a student who went from living in Germany and being taught that there are many ways of getting the right answer, to moving to America where everything is taught in one way, I have learned to incorporate my tutoring skills to the need of each individual student. I try to figure out what works best for every individual and help them focus on their strength and improve their weaknesses.

A Little Bit About Me...

As I entered college, I quickly was labeled a tutor by my friends. They would find me before exams so I could give them a crash course on what they needed to know before an exam. Little by little, I had a following of friends and acquaintances who were reliant on me to do well in their courses. Since my friends and classmates found me very helpful, a handful of them recommended me to a tutoring and peer mentoring program at the University, where I eventually worked. I was located in a center where any student could reach me if they needed help in their science courses.
