I have taught private music lessons since 2006. My primary instrument is piano. I have tutored English, Math and Science for the last 3 years. My students have achieved fantastic results. Although I do not teach to tests or scores of any kind, but only to the needs I see in the student, I have been amazed at how quickly t it reflects on their scores, and more importantly, on their self-confidence and motivation. The simple love of learning that I exuded in the classroom setting was initially enough fuel for my fire to enjoy being in the presence of this age group. I found that allowing some sense of humor to the situation in instructing most subjects eased the pain for the children who may not have wanted to be there. All children did want to learn.
