I like explaining things to people. I am patient and understanding and encouraging. I believe in having the student do it themselves after some instruction on how to do it, and providing feedback along the way. And then of course the ultimate test of doing it on your own with out any intervention from me. If they hit a road block or make a mistake you tell them it's alright, correct the mistake and have them try it again. So I believe in repetition and practicing the skill.
