My one to one teaching style is tailored to adapt to the students learning style. However, my experience shows that keeping the student active during the learning process promotes a better learning. I use Microsoft Excel during my lessons. I create formulas, graphs, etc. and the Excel spreadsheet and ask the student to enter the data so that he/she can see how things change with different entries. A Little Bit About Me...

The past two years I have been teaching Freshman Composition at Florida Atlantic University. I was required to teach critical thinking skills, writing, grammar, and reading. Previously, I taught 10th grade English (regular and honors) at Cypress Bay High School in Weston, FL. Before teaching high school I was a middle school Language Arts teacher (7th and 8th grade). With both my jobs in Broward County, I was required to work with my students on reading, writing, and grammatical skills. I have been teaching and doing research in chemistry, biology, and genetics for many years. I am an avid tutor and teacher for all sciences. As with all laboratory sciences I have written many research papers; therefore, I am confident I can also assist students with writing papers and essays.
I like to figure out whether a student learns best by words, diagrams and pictures, or analogy. I enjoy finding ways to simplify things and help someone else learn.
